Hi there,
I'm trying this great looking video plugin for wordpress but so far it isn't working very well, everytime i'm trying to upload a video i get 100% after a second and that's it....
(I let it run for hours just for the test but still got nothing)
I'm using the latest wordpress 2.8.4, the file i wanted to upload was mp4 format taken with nokia n95 and the size of it was 23 mb approx (I also tried with a 7 mb file with no luck) browsers tested: firefox 3, 3.5, chrome 2, 3, opera 10 beta 2, safari 4 (os, winxp sp3, win7) flash version: 10.0.32.18
Also, is there any way to create a custom player which possible to select from the plugin's popup ? (a way, workaround, upgraded account...)
Thanks,
Sahar
Thanks Assaf,
I can confirm it works with explorer (7 & 8). The thing is working on wordpress with ie is very slow, I prefer working with wp & ff or chrome because you get high speed loads (and even more when activating google gears)
Regarding your suggestions, "local proxy, fiddler, organization firewall".. none is the case, i also tried uninstalling flash and install it, it remains the same.
When trying to upload with all mentioned browsers above, the bar go to 100% but not just that... the file isn't uploading at all in background... and the next event which supposed to show the finish button never shows.
If there is a dev version or if i can help with testing i'll be happy to do so.
Hi,
As the plugin is not 2.8 compatible, this might be the issue. We are finalizing the next release these days, that will be 2.8 compatible.
Great news, looking forward to it!

Hi,
We don't have a specific date yet, it is definitely in the works.
It usually happens when you use a local proxy of some sort such as fiddler on your computer. also sometimes when you're connecting through an organization firewall it might do that as well. If none of the above is the case - then we get back to a known upload in flash generic issue.
In regards to solving - you should try uninstall and reinstall your flash version. If that doesn't help my only advise to you is that explorer behaves a bit differently than firefox as although the problem still shows - it actually receives the event that tells it that the uploading is complete even though the progress bar is stuck.. so the upload does complete eventually.
It's a relatively rare issue in core flash and we are trying to find work arounds.
