I noticed today, that the "Add Video Comment" button on every post does not work. Since I just noticed it, I am not sure what happened to make it stop working...
I did change themes from Arthemia to Arras Theme ~ but changed it back to test and it didn't work. (it was working in Arthemia)
I did add smilies themer and smilies themer toolbar ~ but deactivated to test and it didn't work.
I was using an older version of katura, so I deactivated, then installed the All in one video pack, activated and it does not work.
It does work in the admin panel. I can upload pics and video and all when I am logged in.
I looked in my comments.php to see if the code <?php do_action('comment_form', $post->ID); ?> was there ( I was reading in the forum about someone having problems similar) and I do have that ~ so I suspect that is not it.
Just curious if anyone else ever ran into a similar situation.
the linky is www.totallyangel.com
you can click any post and go to leave a video comment and you can see nothing happens.
Any ideas?
Have a wonderful day,
Angel
Hi Chris,
Thank you! I wasn't getting an error message, so it's nice to know what is going on. I do have wordpress 2.8, I upgraded last week and didn't even think that could be the reason.
Ok, I'll be patient till the next Kaltura update comes out! Or if I can't wait, I'll just downgrade back to 2.71
Thanks again for letting me know the error message ~
Have a wonderful day!
Angel
I confirm.
On WP 2.7.1 "Add Video Comment" works well, but it does not work with WP 2.8 and WP 2.8.1.
I'm running Wordpress 2.8.6 ... is there going to be a compatible plug-in from kaltura ?
Jeff
Hi,
Just answered you on the other post... it's in the works.
I can confirm that the button doesn't actually work!
The error message it's throwing up is:
Error: uncaught exception: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: [@name=comment_post_ID].This error has been discussed before:
http://www.kaltura.org/jquery-error-upon-clicking-add-video-comment
Unfortunately the result is... you're running a version of Wordpress that currently isn't supported by Kaltura. Sorry!
