Can the remix support split screen functionality?

I'm wondering if the remix can do this:
1) take two different videos as input
2) render them together in a split screen fashion (after specifying start points, crop zone, length for each)

If this is not supported what would I need to do to make this work, can I leverage existing code or would I have to do my own video processing?
