After the installation I got this error...

Local Registration failed
Error Code:
Error Message: Array ( [0] => failed to serialize server result )

IMPORTANT!

When I continue and go to the server's home page and I try to log in I get this error

"The data you entered is invalid"

I suspect the database is not populated with my login details. I have re installed over 10 times and I am getting the same result..am on the edge now..:-)

Hi Abbey,

Please verify that your kalturaCE directory has "AllowOverride All" in the apache configuration.
If it doesn't, .htaccess file will be ignored by apache, so all the rewrite rules will not work and the kaltura server will be unusable...

Check out this forum post. It describes the problem you are having and solution to fix it.

The resolution referenced above and the link therein (http://www.kaltura.org/project/issues/418) is broken when you follow it through to the community pages.

I'm presently having the same problem as the original post. I'm using Debian Lenny, 32-bit, and could use some help troubleshooting the issue.

I install, get the 'failed to serialize' error and the subsequent 'data you entered is invalid' login error.

In looking at the mysql database, the installation process created all of the tables correctly.
The rewrite rules are correctly being traversed (I enabled rewrite logging to check).

Looking through the php code it appears that this means that there's no admin account being returned from the database query. Is there a partner ID that's missing in the database, or some way to see what's being queried and what's not being returned? In other words, is there something that I can inspect to troubleshoot either of these errors?
