Hi everybody,

We have spent over a month and a half in a mind-breaking struggle to get Kaltura running on our server. We installed it properly and then got a blank screen. This problem was shared with many others. Dozens of installs, several complete OS reloads, and six weeks later some people in the forum were able to pinpoint the problem: if you install Kaltura and use a password for MySQL that contains a parenthesis, then the system will break down and you will get this blank page!

Using an alphanumeric password fixed this issue for us. So if you are experiencing something similar, or installing Kaltura for the first time, be sure to take this into account! This topic is just to make sure people notice this issue as soon as possible.
