Error in multiRequest

Hi ...

I installed KalturaCE successfully, but when I go to access many items (sample dark and light players, sample playlist gallery, advanced editor), or try to open clips from the Content Manager, I get this error:

Error in multiRequest
KalturaStartWidgetSessionResponseError #1034

Note: The sample "White/Blue Player" and players from the customer players sample gallery play okay.

I saw in another post the person ran "run_replace_root.sh" to fix this ... but when I try to run this I get a "command not found" error (although I can see this file in /install).

System Info:

KalturaCE 1.5
Ubuntu 9.04
XAMPP - mySql 5.1.33
Apache 2.2.11
pHp 5.2.9

Any help appreciated ... please give complete instructions ... I'm a Ubuntu/Kaltura newbie

Thanks

I'm not sure why, but I'm not having this problem anymore. I did make some changes to my XAMPP passwords and settings, which may have impacted Kaltura's access to MySql.

Hi deejay,

Can you try and remember what were the changes you made?

Thanks.

Hi!

I had the same problem. I installed kaluraCE 1.5 beta in windows server 2003.

http://kaltura.pcu.ac.kr

When I clicked the Player Gallery button, I got,
------------------------------------------
Error in multiRequest :
KalturaUiConfERROR - THE FILE DOES NOT CONTAIN LAYOUTS ELEMENT ! WRAPP THE LAYOUT WITH LAYOUTS
------------------------------------------

I installed kaltura in subdirectory

http://kaltura.pcu.ac.kr/kalturaCE

Then the Player Gallery button worked.

Any idea to using subdomain rather than subdirectory?

Thanks for the subdirectory tip. Like you, I don't know why it worked, but it solved my problem, too.

Since I run Apache on Windows and it is configured to read HTACCESS instead of .HTACCESS, I had to rename that file BEFORE running the installer, too.

Sorry ... I did so many things, including reinstalling xampp, that I can't really say what corrected the issue. Somehow I got the root password corrupted, or in conflict with other settings, and reinstalling did the trick.

Thanks a ton for the .Will be reinstalling it again using the settings provided.
