How to force HTML5 player?

When the sample player web page loads it fires up with the flash player and has an option to force-html5. When you click the force-html5 link it just reloads the same page with the "?forceMobileHTML5" appended to the url. If the html for the page is as shown below, how would I hardcode that into my page? I really don't know php or js very well.

Here is the code from the sample player:

      <script src="" type="text/javascript"></script>
<div style="float: left;">
        <object id="kaltura_player"
                height="330" width="400"
                xmlns:dc="" xmlns:media=""
                        <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" />
                        <param name="allowNetworking" value="all" />
                        <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" />
                        <param name="bgcolor" value="#000000" />
                        <param name="flashVars" value="&" />
                        <param name="movie" value="" />

I tried replacing the

                        <param name="flashVars" value="&" />

                        <param name="flashVars" value="forceMobileHTML5" />

but that didn't work.

My hope is that someone here can answer this in like two seconds :)

the answers you seek:

look at the 'LeadWithHTML5' variable - that's how I'd do it

sorry this took longer than 2 seconds

the resources are out there...

You are getting to be a PITA with the "read here" responses. Just to prove me wrong, point out where that doc shows me how the sample code posted by Kaltura execute it. I am asking how that web page takes the ?forceHTML flag and feeds it down to the object. Most of the examples in your link use the mw.SetConfig() method.

Please show me?

Oh, while you are at it, how about you go to the other thread where you posted the same crap and show me where your link provides the information that Michael answered with.

Prove me wrong please!

Boy oh boy, you've sure taught me a lesson about proper web forum etiquette.

hey bud, no need to be like that. just trying to help. here's the main point i'm trying to get across to you: RTFM, and you'll be surprised how much you'll learn

you're right, those links i provided don't spell out exactly what you are looking for in your precise use case - all i'm saying is that if you just take the time to read what's out there you won't have to wait around for a forum "PITA" like me to help you, and you will learn much faster by combining the 'play around with it' strategy with the 'RTFM' strategy, instead of the 'play around with it until it breaks then post on the forum' strategy you're using now.

i have no idea where you're coming from with the web forum etiquette piece, but if i offended you in any way i'm sorry. again, i'm just trying to be an evangelist for the helpful and growing documentation that is out there.

anyways, take it or leave it, and best of luck to you.

thanks rtcwp07, read the documentation carefully. You will want to understand the difference between "forceMobileHTML5" and "leadWithHTML5" .. you almost always just want to leadWithHTML5 .. force will use html5 in all cases and is not as smooth of an experience if for example the visitor is using IE8, they will get the HTML5 library on top of a chromless flash player, which does not work as well as leadWithHMTL5 which will give you the original on page flash player unless the browser support html5, then will use the html5 library.

By default, the html5 library is invoked when there is no flash available. For some use cases you may want to force flash install request for desktop users, that don't yet have flash installed ( instead of using desktop html5 ). To force flash on desktop users this simply set:

mw.setConfig('Kaltura.ForceFlashOnDesktop', true );
