Partner Identifiers are needed when integrating some of Kaltura widgets/applications.
Obtaining Partner Identifiers when using Kaltura hosted solution
When using a Kaltura hosted solution, Partner identifiers are obtained as part of Kaltura registration process.
Registration could be initiated by either an automatic process or manual process according to the widget/application you are integrated with.
- Automatic Registration
Registration is initiated automatically when you integrate with any one of the Kaltura CMS extensions applications such as: All-in-One Video Module for Drupal, All-in-One Video Pack for WordPress and others. - Manual Registration
If you are not integrating with Kaltura CMS extensions applications, you will need to go through a very short registration process. Start your registration at the sign-up link available at the top section of Kaltura.com web site.
In both automatic and manual Registrations you will receive your Partner identifiers and information within an email notification. This email notification will be sent to you upon registration completion.
Partner Identifiers such as Partner ID and Partner Service Secret are needed in order to integrate some of Kaltura widgets and applications into your web-site. If you experience delays in receiving this email notification, please contact Kaltura support team.
Once registration is completed you will be able to move forward with integrating Kaltura widgets and applications into your web-site. You are also able to manage your content and your account information using Kaltura Management Console. To learn more about Kaltura Management Console, please refer to Kaltura Quick Start Guide.
Obtaining Partner Identifiers when using self-hosted solution
Self hosted partners who are developing full client-server solutions, based on Kaltura Community Edition(CE), are responsible for managing partner identifiers and for populating these identifiers to client-side implementations, as needed.
On a fresh install of the KalturaCE server, you will receive the partner identifiers including id and secret.
