Hello,
First of all, I must say that i'm a developer, but the installation of Kaltura CE (php) wasn't made by me.
It happened some times that we had problems while trying to upload files to kaltura. When I checked the inspector tools on chrome, the error :
Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'KalturaException' with message 'Internal server error occured' in /home/baladode/public_html/application/third_party/mediaAPI_v3/KalturaClientBase.php:457
Stack trace:

thrown in /home/baladode/public_html/application/third_party/mediaAPI_v3/KalturaClientBase.php on line 457
The times it happened, it apparently fixes itself without doing anything...
But today, it happened again and I tried to go in the Publisher tools console, but the content tab also gives me "Internal server error occured".
Like I said, i'm really not familiar with Kaltura, and i'm not use to do "server things", so I'm a little bit lost right now.
I'm asking you for some help. If someone could give me an hint, or eventually go to our server to fix this and make sure everything works alright. We can discuss about that work if you are in and you are familiar with Kaltura.
Stupid question: is your mysql server running?
Yes it is! I had my server investigated by the hosting company, and they told me mysql was running normally.
1. Can you take the connection string properties from the kConfLocal
and create a small php program that uses the same param and validate the connection?
2. Are there any other errors in the logs?
3. In kaltura instructions (pre install), there are dome setting for MySql, Have they been set?
Hello oferc,
First take for the time you're taking to help me.
1. I'm not really sure what to do here. I'm really not experienced with this Kaltura thing and also not experienced at all with server side programmation. As we are in production right now, I fear to lose datas by doing bad manipulation.
2. The logs are as follow :
KGenericBatchMgr.log - size is getting bigger every seconds...as it's logging things continuously, here's an example :
2012-12-02 17:55:42 [921332764] [BATCH] [KGenericScheduler->spawn] INFO: Executing KScheduleHelper [0]

I'm really confuse right now, like I said, I'm a bit anxious about losing any datas, and Kaltura is really foreign to me.
Did someone change DB security permissions?
Try to go o kConfLocal whee all the connection string are, and change from 127.0.0.1 to localhost (in the sphinx connection string), maybe this will help
I just tried that, but didn't work. As for the DB security permisssions, not that I know, no changes were made.
To add to the issue, I tried to restart sphinx and populate using the populate_log
Since then, the kaltura_sphinx_populate.log keep logging
[2012-11-30 20:32:48]SQLSTATE[HY000] [2003] Can't connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' (111)

[2012-11-30 20:32:58]SQLSTATE[HY000] [2003] Can't connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' (111)
The server is in production, so I don't want to mess up anything or lose any media...
Thanks
