Jquery error upon clicking Add Video Comment

I installed the All-In-One-Video-Pack on my local server under a standard WP install to test it out before using it on live site. Both WP and All-In-One were downloaded and installed yesterday June 18. No problems with the install and setup.

First thing I get when clicking Add Video Comment is the following error:
uncaught exception: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: [@name=comment_post_ID]

The error occurs in kaltura.js line 185, in function pluginUrl:

openCommentCW: function (pluginUrl) {
var postId = jQuery('[@name=comment_post_ID]').val();

Anyone else getting this, or is there a fix for it?

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for posting it - do you have other themes / plugins running?

Thanks for responding.

The only activated plugins are Akismet and All in one Video Pack. I tried deactivating Akismet and nothing changed.

Current theme is WP Default. The only other theme installed is Classic -- it's a plain vanilla WP install.

I also tried replacing jquery.js 1.3.2 with version 1.3.1, no luck.

Appreciate your help.

If you have jquery 1.3.2 you are probably using wordpress 2.8, which is not supported yet.

wordpress 2.7.x comes with jquery 1.2.6

Ok that would explain it, I am using wordpress 2.8. Thanks much for the answer.

Any idea when the plugin will be fully functioning with Wordpress 2.8?

Hi,

We don't have a specific date yet. Our next release should be compatible with WP 2.8.

Hi,

The correction for this bug is quite simple (Thanks Marc!):

Change the line:

openCommentCW: function (pluginUrl) {
var postId = jQuery('[@name=comment_post_ID]').val();

to

openCommentCW: function (pluginUrl) {
var postId = jQuery('comment_post_ID').val();

in the file all-in-one-video-pack/js/kaltura.js

i got the following error message ...

Fatal error: Call to undefined function do_action() in /home/blogcash/public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-video-pack/page_contribution_wizard_video_comment.php on line 1

Any idea's ?

It's ok, i figured it out, all i did was to remove the line ..

<?php do_action('comment_form', $post->ID); ?>

from the all-in-one-video-pack/page_contribution_wizard_video_comment.php

Hi,

When I try to make a Video Comment from my website (wordpress 2.8) using the All in one video pack 2.3.1, it always gives me a Add Call Entry Failed message.

What is the problem?

Thanks.

Maybe it's a theme conflict issue (do you run default theme?) or compatibility issue with WordPress 2.8.
