Kaltura CE - Drupal module - Video comments problem

Hi there,

I've set up a test site with kaltura CE, red5 and Drupal. After some struggling, it does work! :-)

The creation of a new node works correctly, and, thanks to some tinkering and red5, you can also record straight from the webcam (awesome).

BUT, the video comment does not work. The modal window comes up, and nothing happens. It's like it's not loading the appropriate swf file.

I've been trying to setup this for some time, so I was wondering: is the drupal video comments module supposed to work with kaltura CE? did anyone manage to get it working? if so, could you post your configuration files for the comment widget?

thank you in advance!

seems like a missing configuration in the database.

please run the following query:

INSERT INTO
ui_conf (id, obj_type, partner_id,subp_id,conf_file_path,name,width,height,swf_url,use_cdn,STATUS,display_in_search,creation_mode)
VALUES(610,2,0,0,'/web/content/uiconf/kaltura/drupal/cw_drupal_comments.xml','drupal cw',680,480,'/flash/kcw/v1.5.4CE/ContributionWizard.swf',1,2,2,1);

This should create the required configuration in the DB and the swf will load...

* added to the "blank" database, not included in SVN yet.

Hello: I would like to use the CE and install it in a Drupal site (or many sites). The link to the Drupal-CE documentation appears dead. I have no idea where to begin!

Oh, also, do you know if I can use my Amazon S3 platform for serving up the content where the user just uploads it and it bypasses the Drupal default file path and goes to S3?

I appreciate the help!

As far as I know, by design, when you delete an entry from both the Wordpress and Drupal plugins it DOES NOT (by default) delete it from the Kaltura Network. You'd need to modify/extend the plugin/addon to make this happen.

All I can say is by design since the thought was that deleting videos should only be done by admin and not enabled to users at any point. However you can enable it by simply extending the drupal delete function to call deleteEntry method on Kaltura. I've seen several implementations of this before.
Personally I agree that it should be a configuration in the drupal extension.Acai Berry Weight Loss
