This guide is applicable for Kaltura CE version 3.0.x
The Kaltura Community Edition is a free, open-source, self-hosted video platform. It is developed through the combined efforts of Kaltura and the community and is available under the GNU Affero General Public License v3
Here you can find instructions on how to install and deploy your Kaltura CE. It is recommended that you read the guides before you start your installation and that you follow the instructions provided within the installation guides as much as possible.

Kaltura CE V3.0 has been tested on Ubuntu 10.04 and on CentOS 5.5. It is possible to install Kaltura CE on other Linux distributions as well, however it was not yet fully tested by Kaltura
Installation Steps
For best results, please follow the installation guides in the following order:
NOTE: Do not extract the files on your computer and then upload using an FTP or other file transfer method, as the permissions and attributes of files should be maintained. Instead, always download the Kaltura CE package directly to the installation folder and extract in it using the following command: tar -zxvf kalturaCE_vXXX.tgz .
