Hi,

I am not a programmer. So my question might sound stupid.
However, after installing all Kaltura installables, I reveive the following message after selecting Components >Kaltura Video:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR, expecting ',' or ';' in /homepages/14/d109403559/htdocs/joomla/administrator/components/com_kalturavideo/views/admin/tmpl/default.php on line 15

I am using Joomla Version 1.5.15

I also have had this problem.. I have had a Forum Tread but have not had anyone reply to mine.. So I was thrilled to see someone else with the same trouble. My troubles are outlined at forum thread: http://www.kaltura.org/joomla-server-prerequisites

It is late at the moment, but tomorrow I will get on and elaborate on my server type and problems specifically. ALSO; what I have tried to fix it.. I feel as if I have 'debugged' everything there is to try so I was attributing it to my Server (although I can run Kaltura on Drupal on the sane server).

I will expalin tomorrow.

Guys,

From reading your specifications, it seems that the problem is with the PHP version you use.
The Joomla plugin is only compatible with PHP5.

I have tried to install the Joomla Extension for Kaltura on 3 different servers. After the CentOS server I was using on Godaddy.com returned the following errors:
"Edit Mix" page gives this error: "Load Entry MR Command => fault, load show/entry faild please try again later..."
&
"Create Remix" brings a 'broken page' up: 500 - View not found [name, type, prefix]: createmix, html, kalturaView
So I realized the Godaddy server was not using the most current Apache, MySQL or PHP versions so I installed a 'local' Ubuntu 9.10 Server with the most current Apache, MySQL or PHP. I am not the most skilled there is on Linux but I know how to set up an apache web-server with MySQL.
That returned the same error... I then tried the Fedora 12 Server, which I just finished testing 20 minutes ago; and the same ERRORS!
"Edit Mix" page gives this error: "Load Entry MR Command => fault, load show/entry faild please try again later..."
&
"Create Remix" brings a 'broken page' up: 500 - View not found [name, type, prefix]: createmix, html, kalturaView

Any idea what is going on?

Hi MimocomMedia,
The Edit Mix/Create Mix, are they buttons that appear on the player ? Do you have an "Edit Video" link under the player?

Oh I understand, I was adding those two as 'pages' in the 'menu management'. I have worked with Kaltura on Elgg and Drupal so I do see what you are saying about the "remix' being under the video... So that answers that now. But here is where the problem is now... and I have read in other forums that people are also having this issue.

After: 1- Uploading, 2)Naming and adding tags.... then you get to 3) where you pick "Light or Dark" and name the video. Well when selecting "OK' to end the process; it will not advance. I tired it in: Chrome, Firefox and Safari (not IE though).

Does anyone know what is causing this or has anyone else experienced it?

any new word on this error? It would be helpful
