I'm considering deploying a CE edition of Kaltura for prototype purposes and upgrading to the full enterprise edition when the first paying client comes online. We have a datacentre into which we are installing Wowza origin and CDN servers. My question is whether there is any integration with Wowza in the CE or Enterprise edition. I understand this not to be the case, and if this is true, has anyone written code to interface between the two systems.
Initially the Wowza and Kaltura installations will be on a single hi-spec server but this will likely upgraded within a few months so any solution would need to support both single and multiple servers across the network.
Any help or suggestions welcome.
Nigel
Hi guys,
It really depends on the type of integration you'd need.
Suppose you're using KalturaCE v2.0 and above.
For webcam integration you will need to reflect libraries so that the addEntryFromWebcam Api will be able to find the files created by Wowza.
For Live streaming you don't require special server side integration, you just need to define the server url in the KMC when creating a new live entry.
Could you share some more information on how you use and deploy Kaltura?
Kalturian,
Can you shed some light on what you mean by
"For webcam integration you will need to reflect libraries so that the addEntryFromWebcam Api will be able to find the files created by Wowza."
How does one do this library reflection? Can I use Red5's oflaDemo like I did with v1.5?
Thank you very much for your help.
Hi I have the same Question. Anyone already solved this?
Nigel did you have more information or any solutions?
Thanks
Daniel
