KalturaCE 1.5 Installed but All modules have errors

Peace!

Hi, I asked a friend to install KalturaCE on their server. I was successful but there are a lot of errors in all the flash components

Errors on the Player:

Error in multiRequest :
KalturaUiConfERROR - THE FILE DOES NOT CONTAIN LAYOUTS ELEMENT ! WRAPP THE LAYOUT WITH LAYOUTS

Errors on the Playlists:

then when you click on the MIX THIS VIDEO button, the KAE loads and issues the following error

KMC seems to load well, I can do the following
1) login to the KMC system
2) These tabs loaded well (Content->Entries, Content->Moderation, Account -> Account Overview, Account->Account Upgrade, Acccount->Server Settings, Everything under the Server tab, Everything under the Developers tab )
3) Content->Playlist

Error in multiRequest :

So can anybody please tell me what's wrong here?

I had this today too.

I solved this by making sure that the correct user and group rights are applied and the right file rights set.

I also ran the script: run_replace_root.sh

Hi

can you help me to run these 2 scripts , I have the same problem, but when I run it , I get :

find: `replace_root.php': No such file or directory
find: `replace_root.php': No such file or directory..

which command are you running, in which directory ?

Thank you for the suggestion, trying it out now...

This was weird, after running run_replace_root.sh
the landing page on the CE server now says

"
Your KalturaCE Server Is Only Partially Functional
5 services are down - go to the Server Monitor to learn more
"

But after logging into the KMC and clicking on the Server tab.. all i had to do was start the unstarted service...

Checking on the Galleries, the following errors were popping up

1) Player Gallery

Advanced Editing -> Remix This Video
no errors popping up, the KAE loads well... but hangs after a while (the big circular loading wheel is still there... no movie thumbnails. you can see the movie names; Demo Movie 1 upto Demo Movie 5; But no Movie Thumbnails;

You can see the transition icons on the Video Tab and at the timeline Area; but no Movie thumbnails. Again the BIG Circular loading animation is present and the canvas it's creating is blocking my clicks, which is understandable.

Forgive me for not placing in the URL... I kinda had to ask the administrator for the server I installed a favor... it's a company server that I'm not suppose to be accessing but since we're kinda doing the same research I hitched a ride on his installation.

didn't help. it just seemed to work after that, but other components still didn't function (uploader, editor).

it seems that kaltura can't be installed on the root directory of the server!
I mean the root of the url not the filesystem path:
http://video.mydomain.com didn't work
http://video.mydomain.com/kalturaCE worked

when trying to install into the root of the webserver the installation process gets an error in logs/kaltura_install.log after the following line:
replace uiconfs with command php ./run_replace_root.php /kalturaCE

sorry, I don't have exact error message anymore :(
it was something with an empty array...

Hi Guys, is this normal?
I was out a couple of days due to flu/fever. I came back and tested the server and got a new set of errors (i have not touched the HTACCESS information yet.... still studying it)

With the players I get the following:

Error in multiRequest :
KalturaStartWidgetSessionResponseError #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert com.kaltura.errors::KalturaError@221916c9 to com.kaltura.vo.KalturaStartWidgetSessionResponse.

with the Advanced editor I get this from the page

Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'KalturaException' with message 'Action "start" does not exists for service "session"' in /home/STC/kalturaCE/kaltura/api_v3/web/sample/lib/KalturaClientBase.php:212 Stack trace: #0 /home/STC/kalturaCE/kaltura/api_v3/web/sample/lib/KalturaClient.php(2301): KalturaClientBase->throwExceptionIfError(Array) #1 /home/STC/kalturaCE/kaltura/api_v3/web/sample/advanced_editor/index.php(11): KalturaSessionService->start('b4971d769326959...', 'USERID', 0, 1, 86400, 'edit:*') #2 {main} thrown in /home/STC/kalturaCE/kaltura/api_v3/web/sample/lib/KalturaClientBase.php on line 212

It's similar throughout the whole KalturaCE program.

I've gone through all the steps and hurdles described above.
I am now at the stage where everything works, but I get the errors mentioned above when trying to play content.
I've run both the scripts mentioned above and deleted the cache file, no luck.
I've also changed all the user:group permissions in the kalturaCE directory to nobody:nogroup, still no dice.

Any other advice will be much appreciated.

Hi,

I've installed KalturaCE and there's an error every time an action asks for a player:

Error in multiRequest : KalturaWidgetError #1034

I've followed the instructions in this post:

- XAMPP configuration (check if .htacess is OK ...)
- Delete KalturaClassMap.cache
- Set perms with: run_replace_root.sh and fixperms.sh (located at /opt/lampp/htdocs/kalturaCE/install)

And nothing works ... :(

The log file "tail -f /opt/lampp/htdocs/kalturaCE/logs/kaltura_api_v3.log" returns:

OK, don't know Why and How but after reinstalling everything (including XAMPP) it worked.

New user and I am having the same problem: KalturaUiConfERROR - THE FILE DOES NOT CONTAIN LAYOUTS ELEMENT ! WRAPP THE LAYOUT WITH LAYOUTS

...along with the rest that have been highlighted above.

I have installed on a LAMP install of Ubuntu Server x64 in a subdir (/kalturaCE) on a subdomain.

Install flies through and everything operates correctly except for these flash errors. Have seen mentions of the .htaccess file, but I don't seem to see any .htaccess files... so I am kinda lost on that one.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I went through this fourm.I found suggestion of running
run_replace_root.sh and
fixperms.sh on windows xp

Although I ran 'run_replace_root.php and replace_root.php, but unable to solve the problem.
Please help me
I have installed windows version of kalturaCE v1.5 on xampp v1.7.1

Confirming this issue remains with installations from both SVN and Linux download as of today.

Host system is Debian 5.0.5 with PHP 5.2.5.

Installation goes as expected but players return the "WRAPP" error as above.

Happy to assist in debugging via IRC (contact xur1z).

Edit: looks like install/fixperms.sh sorted the issue for me.
