KRecord Microphone Activity Level via JavaScript

I'm probably just missing it, but is there any way to get the Microphone Activity Level via JavaScript from the KRecord widget. I swear it used to have a getMicophoneActivityLevel() function, but it's not there anymore. I see a micophoneActivityLevel public property, but have no idea how to access it.
Any thoughts?
