Live streaming with CE v2.0.2

I have Kaltura CE v2.0.2 up and running on a CentOS box. I am able to stream the demo videos and upload some of my own without too many problems. Very impressive!

The feature that attracted me to Kaltura was the live streaming support in v2. I am having problems getting working however. Has anyone else got this to work?

Here’s what I am doing: From the KMC Content tab, “manage” sub-tab, I hit the “New Live Stream” button. I enter a name, set primary and secondary encoder IP to the windows box running Flash Media Encode v3.1, then hit save. A new entry appears in the Entries table in state Provisioning. After hitting a different tab then returning to “Manage” to refresh the display, the state for the new stream is “Error”. I have not been successful in finding anything in the logs to give me a clue as to what the error is.

This is running on a CentOS 5.5 host with Xampp. The distro mysql and apache packages are not installed.

Any clues are greatly appreciated.

I am running into the same error described in the above post. Can anyone give some directions/guidelines as to how to get live streaming working in Kaltura CE 2?

Thanks!

live streaming requires extra configuration which is not trivial - it basically needs customized integration with CDN that support live streaming or customized integration with local FMS.
