Mixes not saving content?

Anybody else having the issue where advanced (and standard) mixes are not saving correctly with CE v3.0? Everything else I have working fine. The mixes save the correct thumbnail, and show the right length, but after saving and re-opening them, it's like they forget what entries were included when I saved...this is driving me nuts
Somewhat similar problem here too.
Installed KalturaCE v3.0 on top of Ubuntu 10.0.4. Tried advanced editor (KAE 1.2.1) to see overlay text and effects on top of videos played. It works OK in editor, however, once saved and published, all effects and texts are missing in the player, only bare video shows.
Considering that it is pretty urgent to find a solution to this problem, could anyone please help and give some hints on how to debug this? What parts of KAE to check and where, and how to verify each part in order to see what goes wrong?
