Need help creating additional playlist views

We have lots of schools using Drupal and Kaltura and they are starting to upload videos. We have our own KalturaCE server setup to serve videos and it's working fine.

I've had a request for playlists and with that part of the Kaltura module enabled, there are three options:
1. most popular videos
2. recently added videos
3. my media

I can connect to the Kalura content management console and create a playlist and embed it on a page but what I'd really like is a way to have users add videos to a playlist based on tags when they create the playlist inside of Drupal. We can't have hundreds of teachers logging into the management console.

If they can tag the videos they want to show on the playlist, that would be perfect. Are there other ways? For example, a teacher uploads all the student video created from the zoo_2010 field trip and wants to create a playlist of those videos. What's the best way of making that happen?

I just don't have enough knowledge of views to create a way to do this.
