I am looking for a programmer who can integrate all or portions of the Kaltura platform into my Wordpress/Buddypress site.
I already have the following completed:
Wordpress 3.0.3 installed
Buddypress plugin installed
Kaltura All-in-One Video Pack plugin installed
Kaltura Buddypress Media component installed
Dummy/sample content
I am looking for the following functionality:
~ Customization and integration of the video clip editor for registered users (for semi-public view)
~ Custom encoding parameters for uploaded video clips
- convert to FLV, which will then be accessed by another application running on the same site
~ Integration of all the WP plugins above with a single "album" that my users can manage and post on the blog
The proposed workflow of the website users is:
1) Register with WP/BP site
2) Import a desktop video clip into the video editor
3) Trim the front end and back end of the video clip with the editor
4) Upload and/or encode the video clip for playback on the site
5) Manage the video clips in an "album" type of console using Buddypress tools
Hopefully my basic description helps you to determine the scope of the overall project. Please tell me if all or part of this request falls within your experience range. If I'm way off on my understanding of what's possible above, please let me know :), I am happy to work with you.
Thank you much,
Kyle
After working with your plugin, there seems to be some issues, because it's not working on my site.
But first, some questions:
1) The description says this plugin is a "fork." Does that mean All In One Video should be installed along with x7Host? Attempting to install both triggers the fatal error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare kaltura_publish_post() (previously declared in ..../wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-video-pack/all_in_one_video_pack.php:65) in ....../wp-content/plugins/x7host-videox7-ugc-plugin/all_in_one_video_pack.php on line 82
2) Should there be two instances of All In One Video Pack Sidebar Widget in the plugins list? One of them says it's available for upgrade to 2.5.2, while the other one does not.
3) After completing the settings in the Admin, neither the shortcodes (just displays the code) or the video comments work (lightbox pops up with a black screen). Please PM so I can give you the site.
Thank you,
Kyle
Thanks for the note. I'll check it out and get back to you with questions or feedback.
my plugin was originally designed to be installed alongside kaltura's all in one, but then recently i figured why not just combine the two. as it stands currently you can deactivate/uninstall all in one if you are currently using it, and install the latest version of my plugin, which includes all features of both of them. you will still have to enter settings in the "all in one settings" and the "x7 ugc settings," but in essence it is just one big plugin.
shoot me your site and i can take a look.
As a follow up to this, would it be possible to add an Edit icon to the clips in the lightbox video manager (WP plugin), just like the Kaltura Video Mixer does when the clip is in the timeline? It would be same functionality, just in a different place.
This would bypass any customization of the Video Mixer.
Thanks
some of what you are trying to accomplish i believe can be accomplished by the wordpress plugin that i wrote/am writing on behalf of x7Host
wordpress plugin search "x7host"
any questions just let me know. new version coming out very soon with even more features
