Can we add a feature through which we can limit the number of media files a user can upload.

I think this would be better served not as a limit of the number of items, but a quota on how much space each user can use.

This is a must-have feature that is currently preventing me to use the plugin in the community i'm working for.
I also think that a space quota is better then max number of items.
Is there any news about it?
