Hi,
at the end of a video there is by default the option to share the video to other sites.
I have some videos that I am not allowed to share to others.
Is there a way to de-activate the share option?
Thanks!
I'm asking the following questions because I have a particular business model in mind that would utilize the Kaltura platform ...
* Is it possible to customize the WordPress plugin to prevent the Share button from displaying in the player at the end of a clip -- or do I need the Community Edition to do that?
* Is it possible to customize the WordPress plugin to reject a request that originates from another domain to play a video created on my blog -- or do I need the Community Edition to do that?
Hi,
It is possible - I sent you a private email with more details.
I was also hoping to remove the share option, any chance you can email me the instructions? This is for my personal blog but the technology is interesting and will send along to our web team. Suprised removing the sharing isn't a feature.
Hi,
the new KMC is live - http://kaltura.com/kmc .
login with your partner email and password.
than go to - application studio.
create a new player, go to "Features", under the "Viral & Distribution" tab.
un-check the "Share Button".
save your new player.
a message box will popup, confirming the new created player, providing the player id.
the player id is the widget_id you should replace in your website player.
I have created the player as described without the share button. Can you explain where to change the wiget_id so the player shows up in the wordpress blog posts rather than the default one.
Hi,
You should take the uiconf id of the new player, then go to settings.php in the plugin directory, and change one of the players (whiteblue, dark or grey) with the new uiconf.
Excellent, just what I was looking for. Just a hint to save you a little time: The "name" setting (line before uiconfid) in the settings.php file will appear in the dropdown list. Don't change the lowercap name (eg:dark) or the preview will disappear.
This blog is very well written and I appreciate your efforts.. Keep up the good work.

HI,
Unfortunately, right now it's not possible. We are developing a new cms that will give more customization options for our partners.
