As of KAE 1.0.10.23714, right clicking on the editor so that it brings up the context menu also triggers the closeEditorHandler Javascript call. Any way around this?

You can use v1.0.15.* and above that fixes several bugs (use - http://www.kaltura.com/kae/ui_conf_id/1000865).
However, this bug is not known, and I couldn't re-create it.. can you provide more details on the system, browser, website ?
