Hello,
I've encountered some issues regarding the loading of FLV with Kaltura player, which only load audio.
After uploading some WMV files, Kaltura encoded them (using ffmpeg -vcodec x264). The majority can be played through the player, but a few of them can't. Actually, they just "show" the audio track. But when I download the associated FLV files, I can read them through VLC or GOM. Reading the metadata of these files, I can't tell the difference between them and the ones that work well with Kaltura player.
I tried removing the -vcodec x264 of ffmpeg, and the "reconvert" of the file now correctly load on the player. I can even reconvert it using x264, it works.
Have you ever heard about this problem? Do you want some "corrupted" flv for testing?
Thank you.
Hi Zohar!
Thank you for your concern.
- You can download one of the incrimined flv there.
- The xml returned by the media.get is there.
- I can't remember anything special. The problem occured both via CSV upload and wordpress all-in-one video plug-in, while a friend uploaded his video. I tried to upload some of the videos many times, with always the same result. I can add the wmv file if you want.
EDIT : The wmv is there.
Thanks for posting Bastien,
We will try to analyze this video and see what may have caused this.
Thanks! I'm looking forward to your verdict.
Bastien - it seems that both FLV and WMV are the same wmv file with different names.. did you upload the right flv?
My bad, I linked the file under "kaltura-ce/archive/data/0/0/69yj61l5xf.flv", I should have linked the one under "kaltura-ce/content/entry/data/0/0/69yj61l5xf_100000.flv".
I'm sorry, there it is.
Hi Bastien,
