Wen you add a text overlay to a mix, the text box appears in a certain size (about 1/4 of the screen) and you cannot change the size/dimensions of this box. So, for instance, there's no way to achieve a text box that is stretched to fit the whole width of the mix.

Can you send a link to the KAE you're using?
I tested with the KAE on the corp.kaltura.com site, and it seem to be fine:

I just tried again and this actually seems to be working mostly correctly. Not sure if there was an update to KAE since the last time I tried this, but it's working better now.
One thing that's still confusing is that the horizontal scaling control actually stretches the text, instead of making the text area wider. Since stretching is almost never the desired effect, I think the latter behavior (making the box wider) would be better.
