I'm playing catch-up on an install run by someone else, a student in our school district who is slated to graduate in a few weeks! We're running KalturaCE on a WAMP install on Windows 2003 server, our test box (http://webapps.pld.fcps.net/kalturace/) . All of the services appear to be running - the MC shows them all there too, and the demo videos and playlists all work fine. In my excitement, I went ahead and installed the Moodle plugin, which (after some database modifications listed on that forum) seems to deliver the tools just fine through Moodle! Cool! Unfortunately, I didn't test uploads and converts first, and they aren't working.
All video uploads, regardless of whether they came from Moodle or the MC directly, are listed as video mixes rather than videos. They're thumbnailed, and show under "Server" as in process for conversion. Nothing else happens. Drilling down into the individual conversions shows no errors. Attempts to play the videos shows no content. I've tried several video file types, with the same results each time - no progress, but no errors either.
Since I'm not an Apache/PHP geek, I'm not sure how to drill down outside of the KalturaCE MC, and I haven't managed to figure out how KalturaCE actually manages its files, so I can't find where things are supposed to be stored on the server. The error logs referenced in the MC under "Server" don't exist on my install either. If anyone has any hints as to where I can start, I'm all ears. Thanks.
I cannot be any help other than I had to give up on my Windows install. It would never convert the video; just like you described. I had it up and running on Ubuntu in a few hours and - at that time - had little Linux experience. If I can do, anyone can.
