version conflicts between KalturaCE and widgets?

hi, i deployed kalturaCE and played with various widgets, including kcw, kdp, kse in drupal.
i really love what they offers, but when i tried to customize, i noticed that there are version conflicts between the widgets that holded by kaltruaCE and the widgets code base.

i was using kalturaCE1.5b and drupal all in one module.

here are my observations (using kcw for example):
1. under kalutraCE1.5b, the available versions are kcwCE-1.5.4, kcwCE-1.6.5 and kcw2.0.1.
2. within kmc, the kcw version in use is kcwCE-1.6.5
3. within drupal all in one module, the kcw version in use is kcwCE-1.5.4
4. the kcw svn tagged v1.5.2 and has a trunk available, whose version number is unknown
5. uiconf schema for kcwCE-1.5.4 and kcwCE-1.6.5 are different

i am now trying to customize widgets in drupal module but but the inconsistency in the versions baffled me.
- which version in the code base should i use to customize for kalturaCE?
- how can i make sure that the behavior are consistent both on CE server and clients?
