Video Comments not working with Custom Permalink.

The video comments aren't working with custom permalinks activated. I've tried it with all other plugins deactivated, and with two separate themes. I've also tried it in both Firefox and Safari.
Has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone gotten this to work with custom permalinks?

The Video Pack seemed to work great except for video comments. A user would click the video comments button, but nothing would ever happen.

I saw in the FAQ that the latest version of Wordpress listed was 2.7.x and I was using 2.8.x.

I just tried downgrading. That ended badly. It seems my other Wordpress install on the same server prevents me from downgrading. Now I've borked the 2.8.x version and need to install Wordpress a 3rd time - perhaps on a different server...

Am I barking up the wrong tree testing different versions of Wordpress?

I fixed this by downgrading Wordpress to 2.7.x (Default theme)

I now have 2 different versions of Wordpress running happily alongside each other.
(I'd forgotten to update the database prefix in "wp-config.php" when I originally downgraded. Silly mistake. Easy to fix.)

Video pack works great now!

Hi,

Actually we can't be sure. It may as well be another flash based plugin that conflicts with ours, or even a theme conflict issue.

We just upgraded to 2.8.4 or whatever the latest WP release was and our users are not able to add video comments. You click the button and nothing happens. Any update on this issue or any planned patches?

By the way, this is a brand new site and we're just playing around with some ideas for a video based corroborative community, so there are no other active plug-ins enabled right now, so I know there's no conflict there.

Hi,

The plugin is not yet compatible with WP2.8, so I guess this is the conflict. We are finalizing these days a new version for the plugin, that will be compatible. In the meantime, everyone is of course welcome to create a patch to work around this issue.
