Requesting Windows version of CE. Prefer Apache over IIS if one has to be chosen over the other. This would enable local development on more common Windows hosts even in cases where deployment is targeted for more common *NIX hosts.

Since my entire school district is Windows-only, and since we're currently successfully hosting several other open source platforms on WAMP installs (Moodle, Mahara, Drupal), this is a big issue for us.

I'm using CE on XAMPP on Win7 and XP.
Besides having CE run on IIS - can you be specific about what is not functioning under windows?

XAMPP doesn't seem to be a production platform, though it's moot for me since my systems people won't support it, so I can't use it. The test box we're testing on is Windows Server 2003, Apache 2.2, MySQL 5.0, PHP 5.2.
The console tells me that all services are running (http://webapps.pld.fcps.net/kalturace/), but uploads do not convert, and produce no errors from within the console itself. Let me know what error logs you'd like me to drop in here.
