Installed easily, upload on the control panel in kaltura was smooth and fun. I am in the entertainment industry for over 30 years now, had been looking for the right player/editor for reels/clips/interviews and I was all set to recommend this to my agency, who is also looking for video software similar for hundreds of clients on a much larger, commercial scale/site than I am for my personal site and was eagerly anticipating my results but...the player/videos/playlist will not show up in Internet Explorer. I contacted support, went to the forum and have yet to receive any answer for a week. Should you be wary that my non-support experience is the result of using the free Joomla extension, I can assure you that before I ever used support, I had contacted kaltura to send more information about premium services/applications to forward to my agency and fellow artists. In my business, word travels fast. The no support thing is a big thing in my industry, where most performers and others without tech skills feel vulnerable and rely on word of mouth, mostly due to lack of support from designers and programmers.
With such great potential, it is such a shame to see a fixable issue - like support or even commercial information requests - leave a bad taste in people's mouth, enough to abandon the product.
Please work as closely in the future on support, documentation and answering information request emails as you do for new features and current code. It makes a difference between a great product everyone will pay a lot of money for and a potentially great product that no one will take seriously.
